爱好看书的妈妈也想影响她的儿女成为爱看书之人，于是在‘励士书局’订了‘儿童乐园’与‘世界儿童’给我们，书一到手，我就惊喜万分，爱不释手，一篇篇慢慢的看，细细的嚼，不舍得那么快把它看完，那时候才二三年级的我，尤其喜欢看那充满色彩，大大格的漫画如‘小圆圆’和‘小强的故事’，看完后就一本本的收进小纸箱内推进床底下收好好，不知不觉就放满了一大箱，有同学来我家玩，这些儿童读物也是我展示朋友们的宝物，但是从不往外借！
Mamma’s hobby was reading so she
wanted to influence her children too, so
she ordered children’s books 'children's paradise' and 'children of
the world' from Rex Book Shop, when the books arrived and handed to me, I was
full of joy, took my own sweet time to
read and digest slowly, didn’t want to finish it
so fast, that time I was in
Standard two or three, especially the colourful
comics strip such as ‘Little Round Girl’
and ‘Little Keong’s story’, I kept the books
carefully in a cardboard box and
placed it under the bed after finished reading, unwittingly it filled a
large box, some classmates came
to visit me, I showed off my treasures to all of my
friends, but never lend out!
