老家的天井 The Air-Well (Patio) in the old house



20 个月了！20 months old!



天井是我们小时候玩耍的地方，犹记得有一长长的小沟渠，从厨房旁边流过, 肮脏的水流入后门的大沟渠，我们的大小便只须蹲在沟渠上解决就可了！有时候，四个小孩子，哥哥，我与两个表弟妹同一时间排成一排蹲下大便，阿嬷（外祖母）说我们‘哦屎贪高兴’，现在想起都觉得好笑！直到我们长大了一点，才进入那恐怖的屎坑大便，下一回才写那恐怖的恶梦‘屎坑’。

天井有一个大水缸，是阿嬷洗衣，我们舀水冲凉的地方，有图为证。

The air-well was a place for us to play as a child, I remember there was a long small ditch flowing next to the kitchen, dirty water directly flowed into the big ditch outside our back door, we squatted on the small ditch and do our business! Sometimes, the four of us, my brother, two cousins and I in a row we squatted down at the same time to do the same thing, Ah Mah (grandma) said that we 'excrete happily together', even now when I think of it would make me smile! Until we grown up a little bit, they trained us to use the pit of terror, next episode I will write about that horrible nightmare 'feces pit'.
There was a large crock in the air-well, where Ah Mah washed our clothes, and we scooped water out to take bath, as shown in the photo.
